My instagram Monday:

Ohh what a H O T weekend it was here in Arkansas!!!!  It is going to be blazing these next few days too so the air conditioner is a-blastin! I had a really great weekend, even though I had to work yesterday, and I am so happy to have the next couple days off to get things in order before my last week at my hate job (hehe). A couple small things to share with y'all that I just can't contain any longer.

1) I am going to the gym tonight, and I hate the gym. Jake goes every single day, twice a day even sometimes, and I do not. I eat cookies, and Andys Frozen Custard, and consider my work out walking up and down from the lake, (hey! it is a pretty steep hill!) But anyways, I don't wanna be all out-of-shape in my young age standing next to this handsome hottie, so off to the gym I go tonight. I am starting a weight-training routine I read about here. Her results are pretty amazing right? I know it will take a huge amount of time but, if you can dream it, you can do it! Help me stay accountable blog friends, help me!!

2) I should not be sharing this with you. I really shouldn't...but I am TOO DARN EXCITED TO HOLD IT IN!!!!!! Jake and I are potentially building a home. :) EEEEEEEKK! It's a few months from for sure (we're still tweaking and fixing the plans) and waiting to hear from the bank (we just moved here a month and a half ago, so it may be an issue when it comes to a loan since we haven't been "stable" Arkansanians for long at all). But we have picked out lot, our home plan (minus the tweaks) and neither Jake or myself can stop thinking about it! I figure my blog family ought to be the 1st people to know outside of my immediate family. What can you do to help you ask? Pray for our careers, and that if it is Gods will, he will lead the way!  I will post sneaky peakys of the "model" home ours will be based off of later this week.

3) without further adieu, here are my fav. instagrams from the week:

Love photoshoots with my loves :)
We had an INSANE thunderstorm in the beginning of the week, LOVED it!
I told you it was H O T!
I'm sort of obsessed with this child. He is only a few weeks old here. aw
Thimbelina the thumb is here to say, "I hope you have a special day!"
Gorgeous Sky
A glass of Pinot Noir on the lake? Don't mind if I do.

Fun facts Friday (a little late!)

I mentioned yesterday that I quit my job. I know I had said that I loved it and blah blah blah, but the truth was in the short month that I worked there, I wanted to cry 4 out of the 5 days of the work week, didn't really like the people I worked with. (or just had personality issues actually) and spent every night dreading waking up in the morning and having to go back. UMM what is that? I dont want to spend every day like that. The truth is, life IS too short to spend 40 hours a week doing ANYTHING that makes you unhappy. Seriously though, we only get one of these, we need to spend every day INSANELY GRATEFUL for what we have been given, and how we are living our lives. Not dreading the next day.

I am a genuinely up-idty person. I am in a good mood 98 percent of the time, and I spend every morning driving to work praying and thanking God for my incredible life, so when I started noticing myself not feeling happy, or thankful, I knew I had to do something about it.

SO I quit. This could be the end of the world, I really don't think it will be, and I am not sure how I am going to pay my bills once my savings runs out, but it was the best decision I could have made. I know the lord will provide without a doubt, and we will be just fine :)

I am hoping my real estate career will get a nice little start here sometime in the near future. I am licensed in California, but not yet in Arkansas, so I am working on getting it all switched over so I can get started! I had SIX job offers last weekend while Jake and I were looking at houses, and I took that as God telling me to get my booty in gear and start selling houses. (p.s. getting a job at a real estate firm really doesn't mean much since you have to SELL a house to make a living, but its totally a start!)

To close, I want to leave you with a quote I read on one of my FAVORITE blogs E tells Tales, and It goes something like this,

" There are two types of people in this world, those who think we are in Famine, and those who think there is plenty, be someone who believes there is plenty, plenty of friends, plenty of jobs, plenty of love, plenty of good experiences. One good experience for someone else doesn't take one away from you, but rather proves how much good there is out there in the world"

Basically, don't spend time jealous of others, or wasting your PRECIOUS ONE LIFE waiting for something to happen, believe there is plenty, work your DAMN ASS OFF to get it, and then spend every waking second afterward thanking the lord for all you have.

The end.

My instagram Monday

 Hello faithful followers :)

How was your weekend? Mine was awesome! I worked Saturday, but had today and Sunday off and it was exactly what I needed. (but now I need to fold laundry and clean my house...not awesome) Yesterday and today were pretty darn exciting, Jake and I went house hunting! And this is what we learned:

1) we want a new development

2)its going to take 4-8 months for our home to be built

3) I like cookie cutter homes in pleasantville neighborhoods

4) Jake does not

5) we argue a lot

and 6) we finally found one we totally love.

I don't want to give too much away about it for a few reasons. One being, its going to be quite some time until we put pen to paper on the whole thing, and two I need to let God lead the way when it comes to HIS timing, and not my own! (and for those of you I know personally, you know, I have a way about making MY own timeline). But thats super exciting news!

The other super exciting news is AWESOME career opportunities for both Jake and I. And thats all I am saying on that too, as to not count my chickens before they hatch, but I can't wait to share that with y'all also!

We also went to this AMAZEBALLS sushi place here, and were greeted with free rolls to sample, a free bowl of edamame, a free bowl of miso soup, and after we ate our ordered rolls, a free fruit platter to cleanse your pallet. Seriously? I love it here. Beside my insane case of homesickness (I miss my fam/friends) at home, every single day Jake and I are realizing that this was 100 percent, without a single doubt, the BEST decision we could have made for our future, and for our future family.

SO with all that said, please enjoy some instagram from last week:

This is Jakes new shotgun I bought him for his birthday, he was over the moon!
SWOON! (This is the bathtub in the home we <3)

Margaritas and a pitcher of Salsa

My attempt at healthy lunches! Greek toppin' salad. MM!

I AM PASSIONATE about Andys frozen custard. and I could eat it all day long.

My best friend Bree and I. I MISS YOU BREE BREE!

Sprinkle donut. Did I mention I have no self control?

FREE FOOD!

Arkansas is H O T

And thats all the excitement i've got for today. Now to cook and clean. yipee to the skipee

What I wore Wednesday: first edition

  Hello my favorite friends!

So as I was saying last week, blogging has become very difficult for me since my work schedule began. So I am doing my best to sort of stick with the same theme, each day, to make myself blog more often!! So I debut, the beginning of "What I wore Wednesday".

For 3 years before this job I worked in a place where I got to wear the same ole' uniform everyday, and literally didn't get to have any style what.so.ever. SO, I was one of "those girls" who dressed up to go to the Market, just because I was desperate to get to wear my closet somewhere! So, when I began this job, and I had to opportunity to "business casual" it up every day, I was STOAKED! YIPCYCLES!  I get to exercise my fashion ability (its not strong I promise you) and try new outfits.

Also, I must warn you, I have a GIGANTIC jewelry box full of things I never wear. I am SO bad at jewelry. I just always forget to put it on, get annoyed with things clangin' around on my wrists, and I am just terrible at it, so as I am sharing my outfits with you lovely viewers on Wednesday, I am going to do my very best to use jewelry more often. Its my goal, and challenge to myself, to put on at least one piece with every outfit. (engagement ring not included) (oh wait, I dont have one of those yet) (HEY JAKE...if your reading....)

 Hehe...

The look I am premiering today is very casual, yet nice enough for work, depending on the atmosphere you work in. It was super comfy, easy to work in, and still "professional" enough to count as business casual.

There ya have it. Nice jeans, some flats, a tee, and a nice cardi. I dont think it gets easier than that, do you?

I got everything at:

Cardi: Charlotte Russe (long time ago!)
V-neck Tee: Victorias Secret PINK band. (BEST TEES EVER!)
Jeans: 7 for all mankind (I usually shop at really cheap places, however there is something about 7 denim, it fits right, it LASTS, and it is SO worth the money)
Flats: Target, on sale baby!  I believe they were only like 3.50 on sale! SCORE!
Watch: Its Joan Rivers Collection, I actually snagged it from my great grandmother before she passed, and its one of the few pieces of jewelry I actually take the time to wear.

See? Simple outfit! Thrown together in a rush, (because I was late that morning as usual!) Thanks for tuning it again guys, I will try to keep it fricka-fricka-fresh in the upcoming posts!

Lots of love kisses rainbows and butterflies,

Lately:

So I wanted to take a second to thank everyone who still reads my blog, as I feel I don't put half the effort into it as I did in the beginning. That being said, I still LOVE my blog. It truly is a part of me, and even if it never grows into some magnificent page all over pinterest, it makes me SO happy to have my few loyal followers who care what I have to say.

I'll start with my job. Its a furniture gallery, as I think I mentioned before, and I absolutely love it. Its definitely not a "forever" job, but such an awesome start while I get my feet on the ground out here in Arkansas. I am the only Woman on staff there, (imagine that, A furniture store with no Women!) but the guys I work with are so funny, down to earth, and its been such a pleasure getting to know all of them.

Arkansas is still incredible. Every morning on my drive to work, I say my morning prayers, and about the time I'm driving through the incredible canopy, (view it here) I just have to let out the millionth "thank you so much Lord for this incredible opportunity, and this amazing place I now call home".

Bad news is, i'm starting to lose my fabulous tan that was achieved through a week of non-stop lakeage, and my house is beginning to lose its "model home" charm, as I only get about an hour of free time a day with this job, and I don't want to spend it dusting and reorganizing!! As soon as my regular 5 day a week schedule sets in next week (i'm on 10 straight days right now cause another guy is on Vacation) I know I will be able to keep up with it a little better.

In the mean time here is my life through instagram: (if you don't follow me, you should! I instagram everyday, blogging however... Kylieh23)

My attempts at a sock bun, finally got it!
Frozen grapes. BEST SNACK EVER
Jakes favorite part of the day
How much Kaedyn has grown this year blows my mind. How sweet is he?
GIANT sparklers the night before the 4th
I dont know why I am frowning.
I LOVE the country.

Also I am ACHING for the "ERS" (Sep, Oct, Nov, Dec). They are obviously my favorite time of year, and I am so looking forward to each month. My Grandparents come to visit us in September, our VERY best friends are now coming in October, Jake and I booked our flight home to visit in Novmber (we got a ROCKIN deal), and December is the best month of the year, for obvious reasons.

I love you all so much, thank you for caring about my sweet little corner of the WWW.

Window shopping:the hob lob...and a house update!

By now, I hope y'all are caught up on my house dilemma of being absolutely taken by a smaller home on the outskirts of town. I imagine days on a rocking chair, sipping sweet tea, listening to the cows moo in the field next door. No, but really, I do. The house was literally freaking perfect inside guys.  I am not even kidding you, I was like peeing my pants with excitement and planning out furniture layouts. HOWEVER, I have this little ishh (as in issue) with getting ahead of myself, and not letting myself logically think and weigh options, so i'm tryin' to takeee it down a notch, and see at LEAST 15 more houses before we make any sort of decision. This is what I learned from our realtor:

1) he is a smart ass. and I loved that. It's hard to come by people out here that aren't sweet as pumpkin pie 24/7 (at least to your face)

2) HE suggested seeing 15-20 houses before even thinkin' about an offer. Which is smart. He even said I am crazy and need to tone it dowwwwnn. (its cool, I get it)

3) the builder will paint the place blue if we really want to (and maybe I bat my eyelashes a little come offer time)

4) if I get my gosh damn license already I can start selling houses for him. (unfortunately California isn't a recipricol state and therefore I have to take my realtor exam again...poop)

So the house was awesome and I wanted to pitch a tent. Here are just a couple of photos I took that are different from the ones I posted last time.

Downstairs bathroom sink. I knew you were dying to see what that particular sink looked like. You're welcome.
Member how I said I want to kiss those floors? Well, I do.
WHO is that devilishly handsome man upstairs?! (hallway off of the upstairs entry, to our right we have an attic and water heater, and to our left we have 2 bedrooms and a bathroom)
This is the master bathroom. Whichhhh is downstairs. (idiotic) which means it would be the guest bathroom. Whatev..I can deal
One of the 3 giant walk in closets of the house. Seriously though, storage would be no problem here.

Orange door. Thank you.

So there is that. Just a small little updatearooni. I promise to show you pictures of all houses I feel this passionate about. Because I love you guys, and I think house hunting is fun.

Now for the hobby lobby shopping extraordinair...

Have you been to this place? Hopefully you have. But if you're reading from back home, you haven't, and I feel bad for you. First off, I am the kind of person that hallmark LOVES. I start decorating and buying wayyy sooner than I really should for the holidays, so when I went window shopping the other day I literally died and went to heaven. (which was cool, cause their was no other way I'd rather go than amongst fab Christmas and fall decorations!)

But don't you worry your pretty little face there, cowboy, if you're still feeling summer and aren't yet ready for the fall train, I took some pictures of some DIE FOR decor too. (It made me want to move, like, tomorrow! 50 percent off coupon..HERE.I.COME!)

Fall:
How perfect on a fall mantle, or coffee table!
Get on my front porch lace pumpkins.

This tree is made of creepy feathers. LOVE!
I love the versatility of both of these pumpkins. (Up and down) put up in October for Halloween, keep up for Thanksgiving!

More pretty pumpkins. Fall colors do it for me big time.

Christmas:
I want to kiss those rosy little cheeks. Lets bake gingerbreadman, lets bake.
Love EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS! Seriously, this is how I want to switch up the Christmas decor.
 What a nice couple.
SO BEAUTIFUL! The real reason for Christmas.
oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree..
This plain black sign was SIX BUCKS! umm thanks...can't go wrong there!
$11.00 burlap trees. I see these going all the way up the stairs twinkling lights. YES.

My thing with holiday decor is I have a TON. (I think when we packed up the garage coming out here we counted 6 boxes of fall/halloween and 7 boxes of Christmas.) thats A LOT. But the thing is, its all bright colored and sparkly and totally fun, but I totally wanna go for a more "adult' theme this year. But thats expensive. So Jakes rule for me was this: we will use what we have for this year, and he will come with me "day after" shopping so we can amp it up a bit and save  a ton as well. Smart man ;)

Here is some general delicious decor. *Husband warning. I take no responsibility for any damage your wife does to your credit card this month:

Get in my house mirror. I love you.
Baseball is a BIG DEAL in this family. I can't wait for a baby Rose nursery one day. (one far, far away day)
 IN LOVE.
hahahaha, this is so Jake, and I imagine many men in your life too.
Mirror quote! In a small space, LOTS of mirrors and reflective surfaces make everything feel larger. Im all about it!
 Police shadow box. <3
 Don't mind me........baseball bat mirror.
I LOVE BIRDCAGES! But don't we all? Very trendilicious right now
We all need this in our home. (10 bucks with 50 off coupon!) So many things to thank the big man for.

SO gorgeous. I could totally see this on a super chic patio...but then again, who would want to put this outside? I would wanna stare at it all day!
GIGANTIC clock. I am not kidding this thing was probably  3x5 feet. LOVE!

So there you have it. The reason poor Jake will be actually "poor Jake" in the future. I love the hob lob, and its important I leave the wallet at home in all instances I will be within a mile of one.
